TabZen is a Chrome extension that turns the mess of open tabs into something you actually control. You group tabs into named spaces, save a space with one click, and restore it later exactly as you left it. Drag and drop to reorder, a command palette on ⌘K to do everything without the mouse.

I built it because every tab manager I tried either shipped my browsing data to a server or hid the useful parts behind money. TabZen does neither. It is a small, fast tool that does one job well.

Spaces and sessions. Save the tabs you have open into a named space, restore the whole set in one click. Drag and drop to reorder tabs and spaces.

Command palette. Hit ⌘K, search any space or action, jump straight to it. The whole extension is usable without touching the mouse.

RAM-saving tab sleep. Tabs you are not using get put to sleep, so a heavy session stops eating memory in the background.

Smart auto-sorting and merge. Auto-sort tabs by domain, and merge duplicates so you never end up with the same page open five times.

Archive and stats. Old spaces go to an archive instead of getting deleted. A stats view shows how your tabs and sessions add up over time.

Seven colour themes. Pick the look that fits your browser. Small thing, but you stare at it all day.

Everything TabZen stores lives in your browser. No backend, no account, no tracking, and nothing to pay for. The extension never sends your tabs or sessions anywhere. If you uninstall it, your data goes with it, nothing left behind on a server somewhere.
